Phantom was formed in January 2012 by singer & songwriter Hanna Toivonen and producer/sound designer Tommi Koskinen. By mixing elements of Toivonen’s jazz influenced, puissant vocals, Koskinen twists the production into an eerie, cinematic soundscape; incorporating avant-garde textures into the overall cinematic feel.

Phantom’s unique live shows have also provoked rapturous responses, including stunning, real time Kinect visuals and an original handmade instrument, a MIDI theremin, affectionately receiving the name “the UFO (Ultrasonic Frequency Controller)”, which Koskinen controls with hand movements. Phantom are currently working on their debut full-length, due to release in 2014.
