The long night has come to an end, the three suns of Saharis peak over the horizon foretelling the arrival of Dyyni. The journey to Dyyni is long and merciless, but I must make my way, as solace awaits me at the end of my troubles.
Dyyni is a repose from the harsh realities of life, a celebration of people, music and memories. It is an underground sacred space which protects our culture, traditions and values.
The others are on their own journey to Dyyni, to honour the unspoken covenance binding us, that we will end the perpetual suffering by being together. There, I will reunite with my kinsfolk, after eons of darkness and silence. At the threshold of Dyyni, we shed our survival skins, and enter.
I must not fear, because fear is the mind-killer. I shall make my way through Kosh and Sietch, I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over me and through me. And when it has gone past, I will turn my inner eye to see myself dancing through the ether, reclaiming my liminal self. When the fear has gone, there will be nothing. Only we will remain.
🌊 SIETCH is the beating heart of the community, where enveloped by the expansive, driving, melodic soundscapes, you are invited to let what is true rise to the surface and carry you.
☀️KOSH is both a passageway, where one enters into Dyyni, and a sanctuary where the mellow, rich tunes offer respite from Siettch. Take a moment to breathe, hydrate and socialize.

The hustle culture - the pressure to constantly perform, develop oneself, be more, do more, make more money, advance career, get another degree, be more competent, update CV, update yourself - is lurking over all of us stuck in this profit-driven system. To just be, do nothing - against this backdrop - may be almost controversial, almost a radical act. At the same time, the only way we can lower our carbon emissions and live sustainably is to do exactly that. This installation is an imaginary ecosystem encouraging the user for slowness and to stay still - only in this way can they exist in harmony with the little light-based life forms inhabiting this small environment.
