Entropy Summer Camp is back, but this year we're gonna do things a bit differently! While co-creating, we're going to be following burner inspired principles. Please familiarise yourself with the principles found below. This year the volunteer shifts aren't mandatory, but we highly encourage you to take shifts. Otherwise this event can't happen :)

Radical Inclusion - Anyone can be a part of this event. We welcome and respect strangers, no prerequisits exist to be a part of this community.

Gifting - Gift giving is a core principle in the burning man community. Entropy Summer Camp encourages all participants to give gifts. Gifting does not contemplate a return or an exchange for something of equal value.

Decomodification - In order to preserve the spirit of gifting, our community seeks to create social environments that are unmediated by commercial sponsorships, transactions, or advertising. Restaurants/Stalls are encouraged, but are expected to keep the prices to a minimum so as to cover the cost only.

Radical Self-Reliance - Entropy encourages the individual to discover, exercise and rely on the resources available.

Radical Self-Expression - Radical self-expression is born from the distinct abilities and vision of each individual. Its form and meaning can only be defined by that person. When shared, it is given freely as a gift, and with that gift comes the responsibility to respect the recipient’s rights and autonomy.

Communal Effort - Entropy embraces creativity through cooperation and collaboration. We aim to build, encourage, and safeguard social connections, shared spaces, artistic expression, and communication tools that foster meaningful interaction.

Civic Responsibility - Members of the community should assume responsibility for public welfare and endeavor to communicate civic responsibilities to participants.

Leaving No Trace - Our community resepects the environment. We are committed to leaving no trace of our presence wherever we gather.

Participation - Entropy adapts the principle of participation. Transformative change, individually or socially could only be achieved through deeply personal particpation. Members of the community are expected to take part in play and responsibility alike, sharing joy and lessening the burden.

Immediacy - Immediate experience is, in many ways, the most important touchstone of value in our culture. We seek to overcome barriers that stand between us and a recognition of our inner selves, the reality of those around us, participation in society, and contact with a natural world exceeding human powers.

Artist Sign Up
When you've bought the ticket, you can apply to perform at the event. The artists will be chosen one week before the event so the sign up closes on 9.8.
Create you own event!
You can create events inside this event. Let people know where it's happening, how many people can (possibly) sign up, does it cost something, possible payment details and set an inviting picture to get people hyped! If you need a friend to admin the event let us know in Mattermost.
