Entropy Summer Camp 3 ~ 21. -23.8.2026

Greetings, fellow Entropians,

The third iteration of our Summer Camp returns on the weekend of 21. - 23.08.2026.

Entropy Summer Camp is a three-day event where we all actively participate in creating and maintaining the camp together. Everyone who shares the mindset of co-creating a safer, expression-liberating environment for our limitless community is invited to join, help build, and enjoy the one-of-a-kind Entropy Summer Camp.

Everyone can contribute to the upkeep and wellbeing of the camp by helping with setup, decoration, cleaning, cooking, warming up the sauna, filling inflatable rafts, or carrying bottles of bubbly to Skumppakellunta. And of course, you can always help out a friend in need! :)

The Summer Camp will be held at a lake approximately 50 km from Helsinki, about an hour away by car. The location will be announced closer to the event. To help everyone get there, Entropy will organise a few buses and facilitate carpooling. You can also arrive by your own car, bike, or even public transportation, although travel time may be a bit longer.

How are we going to pull this off?

ESC 3 planning is done on Mattermost collaboration platform. Using Mattermost will help you stay informed about how you can contribute to planning the event and coordinate activities during the camp itself.

Follow the steps

  1. If you have used Mattermost during another event, DON'T create new account. Just login by pressing the 'Mattermost' button at the bottom of the page and you're DONE. Do not follow steps 2 & 3. :)
  2. If you create a new account please use the same email address you used for the Entropy profile. This way it's easy to use Entropy website as there will be no need to enter login information in the future.
  3. Verify your email address. Check your inbox for an email.
  4. You can install Mattermost application from you App Store. Set the server as https://chat.entropy.fi. Having Mattermost in your phone get you most up-to-date information and will help working with your team during the event.

Location & Arrival

The venue is located approximately 50 km from Helsinki and is accessible by both public transport and private vehicles. Entropy has also arranged dedicated transportation to the venue, with tickets available for purchase when you buy your event ticket.

To investigate carpooling opportunities, please join our Mattermost channel (instructions are given above).

Accomodation

Indoors

Accommodation indoors is possible with your own sleeping bag or bed linen in Kassu-house (Kassu is a building within the premises) (Do not enter Kassu before 17:00 on Friday!), where there are rooms with bunk beds for 4-6 people. There are about 100 bunks. The rooms/beds are not reserved in advance but are instead chosen (taken) on a first-come, first-served basis. The beds have mattresses but no pillows or blankets, so bring those with you if you are planning to sleep inside. Team leads have a guaranteed bed space, should they choose to use it.

Camping area

For campers arriving on Thursday, and those who wish to camp during the event, dedicated camping areas will be notified through the ticket info email.

Food

Make sure to pack ready-made food or easily preparable food with you. The kitchen will be available for meal preparation from 17.00 on Friday. We only have one kitchen space, so be mindful of sharing the space with fellow campers. Also, keep in mind the kitchen will be booked for certain activities.

And most importantly, make sure to clean up after yourself. Cleaning equipment will be available in the kitchen space. More information about the kitchen space is available in the next section.
DO NOT use the kitchen in the Kassu building.

Entropy will provide breakfast on the mornings of Saturday and Sunday at 10 am.

What to bring

Here is a checklist of essential things for you to consider :

1. Be prepared to present your ticket information from your mobile device/laptop and possible receipts from your payment.
2. Bring a tent if you are planning to take the bus on Thursday and help build main stage.
3. Mandatory start info session and opening ceremony at 21.00 on Friday, held in the courtyard. After the ceremony, campers will head to the main Stage to kick off the party.
4. If you are planning on sleeping inside Kassu, you need to bring your own blanket+bedding+pillow or sleeping bag.
5. Your camping equipment if you're planning on sleeping outside.
6. Since it's late-August and the main stage is outside, bring warm and/or waterproof clothing just in case.
7. Food and drinks for your sustenance.
8. Bring your own cup, and any other eating/drinking utensils you might need.
9. Towel and other personal toiletries.
10. Playing music outside with your personal speakers during the night is forbidden in the rental agreement. So no personal amplified sound (including Bluetooth speakers etc.) outside after 20:00.
